Most definitely. For me a lot of the fun/interesting aspects of the tf is the circumstance and/or the reaction of the were and observers.
Don't get me wrong; a relatively context-free transformation (if drawn well) is still enjoyable, but the tertiary aspects of the sequence can really make something special.
